Gortnahoe Glengoole Junior footballers achieved something never before done by the club in winning the Junior A Mid Title after a titanic tussle with Loughmore Castleliney coming out on top by 2-15 to 0-11 after extra time.

Adrian Mahers free from the sideline rescued the game for us and took it to extra time where a Keane Hayes goal gave us the catalyst we needed to drive home. Paddy Skehans late goal sealed the win and a first ever title at the grade.

We now go on to face Clonoulty Rossmore in the coming weeks in the County 1/4 final. Well done to all involved especially the management team of David Skehan, Michael Heffernan, Michael Langton, Kevin Moriarty and Hugh Coghlan. 

A special mention to Maggie Holohan for keeping the team patched up through a gruelling game and also to the Glengoole soccer boys who headed straight after our game to play a league game for Glengoole Utd in Cahir. Huge effort from everyone involved
