Camogie News

U10 Camogie. Travelled to Tullaroan last Wed evening where they received a warm welcome and the girls played a great game.

U12 Camogie. Both teams played again this week with the White team losing out despite a great performance against a stronger Newport team who travelled to Gortnahoe on Mon July 5th last. The Red team had a good win against Carrick Swans on Tuesday July 6th in Carrick on Suir. Both teams scheduled to play this week, the reds against Boherlahan on Mon July 12th at 6.30pm in the Community Field and the whites away to Nenagh on Thursday July 15th at 7.30pm.

U14- The girls had a busy week of matches this week. On Sunday they played Lorrha in Lorrha, the girls played very well together and made some great scores but unfortunately Lorrha were the stronger team on the day. On Friday the girls played Ballingarry in Gortnahoe, they played with great determination and put in a brilliant performance winning 10-1 to 2-0. Well done to all involved. Best of luck to the u14 this Wednesday vs St Pats in Drangan.

Well done to all our u14 girls who represented the camogie club @ the Camogie camp in Thurles. The girls were lucky enough to meet AFL star Orla O Dwyer.

U16- We wish Helen Cleere and the Tipperary U16A panel the best of luck in the All-Ireland Semi final vs Kilkenny this Sunday. It is fantastic to see a Gortnahoe-glengoole camogie player represent Tipperary in the TESCO All-Ireland Championships.

Best of luck to our u16s and selectors who play Ballingarry this Monday. This is the u16s first match of the season, we wish them all the best.

Junior-

Congratulations to the Junior team who played Ballingarry in the 2nd round of the league. The girls put on an excellent display of camogie and won 2-15 to 1-8. Well done to all involved & best of luck to the girls this Saturday, they play St Cronans in rd 3 of League @ 7.30pm in Roscrea
