U6/U8 Camogie.

We had our first match for the under 6 and 8 group in ballingarry on Saturday 3rd. It was some of the under 6 girls very first match and everyone did fantastic. We had two matches and as we had great numbers, we were able to split into two groups and take on ballingarry and mullinahone. We look forward to taking on our next opponents in the next few weeks as we got the bug for fun and matches and they liked it. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

U14 Camogie - played Lorrha Sunday morning. The girls put on a great display of camogie but Lorrha were the stronger team on the day. Well done to the girls.

U14 Camogie - The girls play Ballingarry on the 9th of july in Gortnahoe @ 6.30pm. Best of luck to all involved.

Juniors - played Carrick Swans in a very tough match with both teams dispalying great camogie. Carrick Swans scored a few late goals putting them in the lead but with a late goal by Gortnahoe brought the teams close again towards the last few minutes. However, Carrick Swans came out with the win in the first round of the league with a score of 1-11 to 4-5. The girls play Ballingarry in the 2nd round of the league on Monday 5th of July @ 7.30pm in Gortnahoe GAA field. Best of luck to all involved.

Congratulations to Helen Cleere and the Tipperary U16A panel & management team who are through to the Tesco All-Ireland quarter final against Kilkenny next weekend. After a victorious win over Limerick in Newcastle West today.

Tipperary 1-11 Limerick 2-03.

Senior Hurling

Our Senior hurlers contested the Cahill Cup final on Wednesday last in Holycross v Drom & Inch. This was a great contest until an early second half harsh red card which left us under pressure for the rest of the game, Drom pulled away as a result to win by 5-24 to 2-17, the score line perhaps doesnโ€™t reflect the closeness of the encounter in which our lads put up a great fight.

We took part in the Maggie Walsh 11 a side tournament in Ballinakill over the weekend also, on Friday night we had wins over The Harps & Abbeyleix but were defeated by Tullaroan, this sequence of results saw us miss out narrowly on the final stages. Thanks to Ballinakill GAA for there hospitality Friday night
