A busy weekend of action saw 3 teams from the club in action.

On Saturday evening our Under 21 footballers had a hard earned 1-9 to 0-6 victory over a Moyne/Gaels combo under lights in Templetouhy. This result now means that they have qualified for the Mid final v Moycarkey Borris, time, date and venue to be decided. Congrats to this bunch of players and to the management team of Jim Rafter, Martin Gleeson and William Coleman. Best of luck in the final.

Unfortunately our Under 14 exited the Peil Na Nog at the hands of Holycross Ballycahill on Saturday on a score line of 8-5 to 2-6. This team will now re group for the championship in a few weeks time.

Our Intermediate hurlers opened their season with a good 2-11 to 1-4 win over Ballyfin from Laois in a challenge game Sunday morning. This game was played in three 20 minute periods and afforded the new management team of Hugh Coghlan, Jim Rafter and Paul Barnaville the opportunity to look at several players for the coming season.
