Congratulations to the u16 team who are now u16C county final champions 🔴⚪

The girls put on an excellent display of camogie from the minute the match started. Ciara Gleeson scored 1-01 in the early minutes of the match both herself, Chloe Kenny, Rachel Slattery and Aine Power were dominant in the middle. The forwards, Louise Bergin, Emily Kenny and Amy Reddan fought hard to add another two beautifully scored goals to the scoreline before half time. Moyle Rovers fought hard throughout the game but our backline Niamh Lanigan, Eimear Ryan, Lauren Heffernan and Helen Cleere and goal keeper Ciara Hogan were consistent throughout the game and contested every ball clearing them back into our foward line.

The girls were leading 4:03 to 0:03 at half time.

Moyle Rovers fought hard in the second half scoring another 6 pts to add to their tally while Gortnahoe still going strong came out the winning team on the night. In the final quater Mary Kate Ely came in for Chloe Kenny due to a knee injury. Mary Kate continued to dominate middle of the field alongside Rachel Slattery & Áine Power.

An excellent display of camogie skills performed by our u16 team and we would like to congratulate you all & a massive thank you to mentors Brendan Hogan, Kevin Slattery, John Kenny, Tom Nolan, Kaylyn Burke, Maria Kenny for their dedication and commitment in training the girls throughout the year.
